Registered Veterinary Technicians

  • Jennifer Williams-Smith
    Office Manager, Head Veterinary Technician

    Jennifer joined Animal Medical Center in September of 2008 as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She graduated and completed her certification from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology with an Associate’s degree of Applied Science and has been in the field of veterinary medicine for 14 years. Jennifer has recently been promoted to the position of office manager and works alongside the management team to make sure our clinic runs smoothly.  She enjoys spending time                                            with her husband, son, fur babies, and horses. Jennifer also loves to ride horseback and crochet.  

  • Brittney Campbell
    Veterinary Technician

    Brittney began working at Animal Medical Center in 2012. She received her theology degree at Faith Bible Institute and associates degree in applied science at Northshore Technical Community College. Brittney has been in veterinary medicine for 15 years with the addition of experience in emergency medicine! Brittney is also the owner of Reiners and Racers. She loves spending time with her husband, daughter, fur baby Reign, and her horses. Brittney enjoys breeding and selling                                             thoroughbred and quarter horses.  She also enjoys charcoal drawing.  Most of all, Brittney enjoys spending as much time                                       as possible in Disney. 

Veterinary Technicians and Assistants

  • Jessica Taylor
    Veterinary Technician

    Jessica started working at Animal Medical Center in February of 2019 after moving to the Northshore from New Orleans where she had previously worked in a specialty ophthalmology practice.  Jessica received her certification in animal CPR during her employment in New Orleans.  She has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Mississippi State University and began her animal career at a rescue shelter in San Antonio in 2010, where she worked for 2 years prior to moving to New Orleans.  Over the past year and a half at Animal Medical Center Jessica has moved to one of our head technician positions.  In her free time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her two fur babies (Benji and Cyprus), drawing, festivals, spending time with family, and always trying new restaurants. 

  • Megan Morere
    Veterinary Technician

    Megan began working at Animal Medical Center in 2015. Megan started her career in veterinary medicine in high school working in kennel and as a veterinary assistant through graduation, then while attending Southeastern Louisiana University as a pre-med student to become a Registered Nurse. After working at Animal Medical Center for years, she felt more strive and passion for veterinary medicine and decided to work towards becoming and fulfilling the role of a Veterinary Technician. As her second job, Megan manages a breeding, showing, and racing kennel active in the American Whippet Club and American Kennel Club. Megan also has a passion for photography/videography and is the owner of Lovely Expressions Photography. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her fur baby, Dierks, and her family. 

  • Jessica Faciane
    Veterinary Technician

    Jessica started working at Animal Medical Center in September of 2019 as a Veterinary Technician and comes with 4 years of experience in veterinary medicine.  Jessica was a veterinary intern her senior year of high school and actually started as a volunteer at a local practice at the age of 16!  Jessica enjoys spending time with her close knit family, and her fur baby, Kobe. In her free time, Jessica likes to draw, paint, and listen to music!

  • Lexi Dawsey
    Veterinary Technician

    Lexi began her career at Animal Medical Center in August of 2014. After graduating from Northshore Technical Community College in 2016 she continued to work here at AMC as a technician. Lexi expanded her family a few years later and took a break from veterinary medicine. In August of 2020 Lexi returned to her passion of working with animals and hopes to receive her RVT certification.  When she is not chasing around her daughter or her fur babies, Lexi enjoys spending time                                          with her fiancé, family, and group of friends all in vet medicine, just like herself! 

  • Caitlyn Blake
    Veterinary Assistant/Kennel Technician

    Caitlyn Joined Animal Medical Center in June of 2020 as a Kennel Technician. She is just beginning her veterinray career here with us, and we couldn’t be more excited to show her our world! Caitlyn enjoys hanging out with her fur baby (Taz), mom, dad, three sisters, and brother. In her free time Caitlyn likes to watch movies and loves cooking and eating (don’t we all)!
