Jennifer "JD" Williams-Smith, RVT
Jennifer or "JD" joined our family late in 2008 after graduating from Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology with an Associates degree of Applied Science. She is an RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) and has satisfied all of the requirements to be registered in the state of Louisiana. JD is married to Mike Smith and enjoys spending time with her son. JD is an accomplished horseback rider and enjoys spending off time with her horses. She also enjoys fostering needy orphan baby creatures of all types in her spare time and has a household filled with a wide variety of very eclectic pets.
Brittney Hughes, RVT
Brittney, an RVT, started working at Animal Medical Center in 2012, after six years of experience in both general practice and emergency medicine. She has associate's degrees in both Theology and Veterinary Technology. Brittney divides her time between AMC, a local emergency practice and her own business breeding race horses and reining horses. In her spare time she likes to paint, draw and surround herself with all things Disney. She has two dogs and way too many cats.
Kasey Bordelon, RVT
KC is a 2015 graduate of the Veterinary Technology program at Northshore Technical Community College and has just recently achieved the status of registered veterinary technician. She has been a memeber of our staff since 2013. She has five dogs of her own and is a lover of all breeds, especially Heelers, Chihuahuas and Hounds. KC is a big Harry Potter fan and a member of Ravenclaw.

Kirstin "Lexi" Dawsey
Lexi is a native of Covington and grew up in the Lee Road area. She joined the staff in 2014 as an intern and was hired on in 2015 while studying to be a vet tech at Nortshore Technical Community College. Though she originally planned on studying large animal medicine, she found her passion working with small animals. In her down time, Lexi enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and her spoiled chihuahua, Rosie.
